Happy New Year - Start Your's by Joining this Lady's Journey to have one too...

There is a fantastic benefit lined up for this weekend in Austin for Sheri Frushay at GiddyUps. I hate to miss this special occasion to honor her passion for music, and fight to win her own battles with health issues - that once done, can allow her the freedom to record & enjoy getting out to perform for us again! xo

Be sure to take a listen here!

War - What is it Good For?.... Absolutely NOTHING!

I met a friend on FB during school in Art History - His true passion to share creative history of the beautiful side of Egypt with other videos is even designed to be enjoyable for our children to learn from. Now, I feel it important to share the current issues he also addresses so that we can know the truth.
The following story has been shared by Veteran Dr. Ashraf Ezzat, who has been caught in the line of fire in Cairo in past few years while trying to help others injured in the square. He has composed a detailed story that explains the: who/what/when/where/how & why of the complicated battles we only see a snippet of in the comfort of our home.

My prayers go to all who are one by one trying to make a difference - I honor this friendship as someone trying to do just that. I hope it helps others by sharing it like this as well.
Here is something you don't see on regular TV - It truly shames what I believe to be love is all there is!
You will find that the words in their language are not necessary to receive the message of this vicious group - this reality is something I found lacking in other media reports when trying to understand the threats by senseless killings of kidnapped individuals they used to threaten US, UK, etc.

Light As A Feather

Many years ago after attending an Oneida PowWow, I called myself "Light As A Feather" - my intention to walk lightly on this earth. It is easy to try to treat others as you would like to be treated. But tonight I watched the 2010 movie - "A Good Day to Die" - history of 1960's about the true native americans & the ongoing challenges of being here on this earth before others chose to push them out - if this land is meant for our children, may we begin to learn how to live together NOW!

Honoring what we can learn, instead of wiping away the gifts and knowledge of the true history of this America you want to call home. Powerful message of how poorly I was taught the truth, and how important it is to not keep repeating the cycle of violence based on ignorance or fear.

May you find peace on your journey & love without end - I remain focused on learning more about the land I walk, and bless those who came before me and those who continue to teach us how to really live with purpose.

Too Many, Too Late

I've got the BLUES!

After I spent the last four years focused with my education on learning about Music Business while my friends were out playing, I then worked on Internet Marketing to further my ability to support my passion online. Now, before the reunion can be created, promoted and participated in - we have lost too many dear artists, and loyal media support that embodies all that my dreams are to preserve. Reverb...

My heart and soul know that along with SRV - Larry Monroe, Will Indian, Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, Steven Fromholz & others in-between, are angels that can now fly beyond this earth as we know it. Chuck - you have a gift for finding them & they - you! Unbelievably, week after week, just too many have left us. It's hard to get your own breath back, and then find another loss of genuinely kind, gifted artists who walked their own paths and entwined into ours, and to feel the sadness for their families/friends, and knowing that while up here in WI - I cannot do more than pray from my winter hideout! Even while I know it is their blessing to get to pass on, it never makes the separation easier, does it?

So, it is now that I pray that I can find a way to create a fabulous weekend of celebration with my friends, and theirs - the many who keep me connected to the spirit and passion that has now transgressed over 30 years of my life. The need to "be home" is a tough test of patience. Who wouldn't want to be in a warmer climate right now?

Although, the test of tides had us at almost the same temp this weekend - wind chill factor and a little snow. Whatever my limitations are, I am blessed with neighbors who push their snowblowers over my sidewalk/driveway without even a word. I dare to walk outside w/o falling on my tailbone again, but it is still pretty when the sun shines - FROM INSIDE - LOOKING OUT! I say that as I thank my furnace for each time it kicks in, especially when we're supposed to hit another expected (-30) tonight. I am hoping it will still be all right! BRRR…

I hope I am not going to be too late to help make a difference with all the time I've spent learning how to be my best. Even as the story of legends are becoming well-noted in magazines, the chance to gather in their memory is the goal that remains. I hope to help document the past, present and preserve what we can to share with others for the future.

So, on that note, I invite you to look forward to what time we have to share the history of Angels n' Outlaws - past, present & future to come! This project is about the history of the "dive bar", "honky tonk - juke joint", "The Austin Outhouse", and how even since it's closing in 1995, how you > the loyal fans, artists & media supporters still look forward to the NEXT reunion!

Much in the way that others followed Larry's broadcasting & how the Outhouse customers broke me into his "Blues on Monday" show back in the early '80's, I have also been honored to have learned from the best - through the ups/downs - how priceless these gifts of music are, & that bottom line is that it's still ALL ABOUT THE PASSION!

No Cap, No Gown

Well, I finally did it! High School, College at Full Sail University for Music Business, BS, and a Master's Degree in Internet Marketing. Onward I will go to learn more about Web Design and complete the circle for my goals.

My Thanks go to the many talented artists who shared their music, passion, and inspired me to keep on keeping' on!

Oddly enough, I've never yet had the opportunity to make it to the cap and gown ceremony with my peers, or thank the professors who supported me throughout. I look forward to sending y'all an invitation to celebrate the support & perseverance that got me this far.

The Leaves Are Fallin'

Working hard on IMP for Full Sail University. Then it's on to making it work in the REAL WORLD!
Thanks to Chuck Lamb for ongoing support to let me create ideas for the next gathering.

I have had a great summer volunteering and catching some Texas Blues too.

SBSF9 was my lucky#1 chance to briefly greet the man who joined this years events, and my thanks go to the commitment & passion of MJ & Pat who took great care of me up while up in Sturgeon Bay at the Music Motel.

I've met so many very cool & very talented artists from around the world - it was constant inspiration, and filled the town with joyful music for days. A hub I am also grateful for the chance to get to volunteer for. One helluva holiday & graduation from MBBS present to myself!

Tony Menzer put together an amazing Midwest Summer Tour to include so many talented artists - it was like a live ACL Show in my own backyard. WC, Chris & Lisa - we've been there and back again.
I love the passion, and honor to be a part of the audience.

Well, back to school with Web Analytics I must go!

I cherish your friendships as I roam.

May you find Peace On Your Journey & Love Without End,

It's Back On!

Happy May Day Y'all!

I've been locked out of my accounts for a time now, but here to wish you a fabulous day of celebrating the springtime.

The birds are here and flowers starting to bloom after snow and flooding only a few weeks ago.

Almost through Year One in school and ready to take off on a journey of exploring the world outside my box.

Hope to see you there,

xoxo

MBBS Graduation!

After 3 years, filled with challenges and rewards, I have finished my first college degree - Music Business Bachelor of Science from Full Sail University in Florida. I did not make the trip to "flip my tassle", but remain thrilled that I have reached my goals and done my best so far.

My thanks to the instructors/peers who selected me for the Advanced Achievement Award! I am so honored to have been considered for this and hope to live up to the vision they have of me and leave a legacy I've dreamed of in supporting artists dreams too.

I have been working with amazing classmates who have endured and I learned so much from them. I have enjoyed the friendships developed during this time, and look forward to those that I know will carry on as we explore our musical journeys.

I would not have made it through this degree program without the awesome support of many artists that allowed me to use their art/music/knowledge to create assignments with. You were my inspiration when I started life over anew!

I hope to see more Austin Artists added to the timeline! I appreciate the extra time given from Entertainment Attorney, Vicky Moerbe for sharing her passion & keepin' it real! Thanks to Chuckles for "pokin'" me to remind me there is more to do, and keep focused on the next reunion too!!

The next year will be filled with Social Media studies, as I pursue a Masters Degree on Internet Marketing with Full Sail - I look forward to seeing you all down the road and thanks again for helping me to follow my dreams :)
